How can safety, creativity, and technology shape the future of manufacturing? This flexible 3–6 day program helps students explore the industry through real experiences and practical skills.
Program Overview
Day 1: Industry Tours & Introduction
Visit two Yarra Valley manufacturing sites. Learn about technologies, roles, and industry structure. Reflect on expectations and opportunities.
Day 2: Safety & VR Simulation
Use VR to identify hazards and complete a risk assessment. Discuss AI’s role in safety and start brainstorming product ideas.
Module 3: 3D Design & Printing
Create a prototype using CAD and 3D printing. Think about safety, materials, and user needs. Record your design process.
Module 4: AI & Programming
Explore how AI supports automation. Try basic programming or use AI tools to improve designs or simulate production.
Module 5: Future You & Enterprise Skills
Design a product (e.g. shirt, sticker, poster) that reflects your future self in industry. Learn branding and prepare your pitch.
Module 6: Final Pitch Presentation
Practise communication skills and deliver a professional pitch showcasing your product and journey.
