A core feature of the Tech School initiative and of Yarra Ranges Tech School is ensuring that our programs and activities reflect the needs of teachers from our Partner Schools. In line with the launch of the Student Ambassador Group we held the first meeting of the Teacher Reference Group (TRG) with staff from Mount Lilydale Mercy, Upper Yarra Secondary College, Mooroolbark Secondary College and Healesville Secondary College.
Designed to build into a Community of Practice the TRG will also become an important means for us to better understand how we can deliver mor effective and relevant Professional Development. Ensure our administrative procedures are efficient and not burdensome on teachers and school and to test potential new programs and themes – such as those already flagged by the Student Ambassador Group.
The TRG will ensure a strong teacher voice into the development of Yarra Ranges Tech School moving forward and is open to all of our partner schools to participate. Please contact yrts-admin@boxhill.edu.au for more information.
