In the Yarra Ranges Local Government Area, residents were actively engaged in the healthcare and social assistance sector, as indicated by Census data from 2021. This program invites students to delve into the impact of emerging technologies within the healthcare system. Throughout the program, participants will engage in a series of workshops designed to harness the potential of these technologies. Students will utilize virtual reality to explore intricate 2D and 3D models of organ systems, employ diagnostic tools for identifying patient blood types, monitor their own blood pressure and heart rate, and gather patient histories using an industry-standard patient simulator. Additionally, they will harness technology to develop training routines aimed at enhancing athlete reaction times and create, test, and assess a prototype program for instructing drones to navigate from one location to another.
