Description
What if you could rewrite the ending?
Students take the director’s seat and transform a familiar story into a cinematic experience with a dramatic new twist. Blending English, media, and design, they explore how characters, themes, and narrative choices can be reimagined for the screen.
Working in production teams, students develop skills in screenwriting, visual storytelling, camera direction, voice recording, digital illustration, and special effects. Using technologies such as graphic tablets, green screens, and video-editing software, they create scenes that communicate mood, character, and cinematic style.
Along the way, students experiment with camera angles, lighting, sound, and visual effects while gaining insight into real-world film and media careers. The experience strengthens creative thinking, collaboration, communication, and planning skills as students bring their ideas to life. The program culminates in a movie premiere, where students showcase their storyboards or short film sequences to an audience.
