Over 2020 and early 2021 YRTS engaged with staff from the Faculty of Creative Industries and ICT leading them through a Human Centred Design Thinking (HCDT) process to solve problems and create new ideas [links to earlier blog pieces]. This has continued with our Director Ashley Van Krieken training the Transformation team in Box Hill Institute in the application of the process to assist them in their ongoing work.  This activity has extended to other faculty areas and we are excited to see a small Community of Practice and interest grow in this fundamental aspect of the Yarra Ranges Tech School’s programs.  These activities not only assist those participating but are important to ensure that YRTS staff maintain their currency in this area while also opening up potential opportunities to build and develop partnerships and relationships to benefit students attending our programs.
