Description
How can robots and virtual reality help us monitor and maintain the future of clean energy?
In Energy Scout, students step into the future of sustainability by exploring how cutting-edge technologies are revolutionising clean energy. Through a Virtual Reality (VR) experience, students tour Yarra Valley Water’s Food Waste to Energy facility in Lilydale, learning how food waste is converted into renewable energy.
Students then apply their knowledge in a real-world context, using Unitree GO2 robot dogs to survey local renewable energy sites. Working collaboratively, they explore how these tools help maintain infrastructure and address environmental challenges. This hands-on, tech-enabled program builds critical problem-solving and teamwork skills while deepening student understanding of the systems powering a cleaner future.
